New Beginnings

2011 is seriously getting off to a great start. One month and I have a new job that I love, a 2-10 minute commute (depending if I drive or walk respectively) and my last semester of grad school has started. Some other stuff is in the works, but I am now trying to rehaul (again) my scrapbook area and get things ready for something else.....details later. Since I slept in till 1pm today, I think I will just work on the scrap area after lunch and get it all set up. That way it is all organized for when we decide to do the complete rehaul of it with NEW furniture and stuff! I will probably scrap a little tonight too - who knows. Nothing serious to accomplish, although I will probably be scholarly and read a journal article or two to get moving on my classwork. Working full time = making time to do schoolwork, so I don't have to pull ridiculous all nighters. That's about it...I smell lunch coming.

Week 2; work

Another good day at the new job..this week again is lots of training. Usually training bores the heck out of me but I am really trying to absorb as much as possible. It will all take time to sink in, but considering the added responsibility, I really want to get a good handle on this.

Hey, Sue...you are blog-slacking...and yours is one of my favorites!

I would write more but my tummy is rumbling seriously....need input.

Scrapmania!

So now that I have a regular work schedule, I am trying to get my scrapbooking hobby to be more of a regular hobby. Yay! I just completed 5 layouts (ok so they were sorta done anyways). But I just felt they needed a little more extra. Now they are officially complete. I still have a gift album that I am finishing, and I want to totally finish it off this weekend and have it out of my hair. Not that I didn't enjoy it but it was kind of supposed to be gifted last Christmas...and by that I mean in 2009. So getting that done will be great. Then after I finish it, I want to go through my stuff and really reorganize my scrap area - again!!!! I also want to write out and plan some of the ideas I have for my scrap room, like a place to hang up layouts in progress instead of just leaving them somewhere for the cats to destroy. I also want to make the area more user friendly, basically so I can access some of my supplies easier. Oh yeah, and so I remember what I have too...lol!

Last post~

Ok....a pic of me today will not happen, but I can do a fairly recent one.
Ok so that was last summer. Deal with it. Now; Three awesome things that have happened in the last 30 days
1. I was hired at a new, FT awesome job.
2. I have a niece and a nephew. All in the same week. Rockin'.
3. We had our first holiday season in our new house. It was fun to have a real tree for the first time in over twenty years.
There were a lot more things that happened, but those are the toppers. Oh yeah, I left Price Chopper too. That was a good thing. Yay me!

Never?

Well, considering there is oh so much to do there...I guess I could never get tired of going to Walt Disney World. I have so much left to accomplish, so many hotels to try out, and endless food possibilities....yeah...I would love it. But only if I can have my pets there too.

For serious?

My favorite movie? Do I really need to narrow it to one????
How about some categories?
Henson; either Labyrinth or The Dark Crystal
Disney; Dumbo or Alice in Wonderland
Other; E.T. Gettysburg, the Kolchak movies and the DaVinci code, Goonies, Star Wars, etc etc.

Last year....

Pretty sure this was New Year's Eve last year. We stayed in...not much has changed because we stayed in this year too. Hmm, but I have a new job, almost done with school and I changed my hair color too. I have also changed my outlook on a lot of things due to my personal experiences over the last year. So 2010 was a big year about change. On to 2011!

Post 26

I've been to lots of places. For the sake of overkill, I shall not use this post as a chance to plug my Disney obsession. This is Legal Sea Foods in Boston. It's delicious. I can't wait to go back; most likely this year sometime. Boston is probably my favorite closest vacation destination.... :)

Day 25

Purse contents -
Wallet, checkbook, notebook, mini-journal, Hermey the Elf kookie pen, Trident gum, calendar, several lip balms, hair clip, Coach pill container (complete with Advil), sephora blotting papers, hair ties, and a couple un-cashed lotto scratch offs from Christmas. that's it I think.

Heres another no-brainer....

Day 23..oh fun

Fifteen Facts about me....
1. I have a thing for old t.v. mysteries, especially the obscure ones. (Kolchak, Ellery Queen)
2. I could probably spend an entire year in Walt Disney World and never be bored. Unless I ran out of funding. Then I would be bored.
3. There are hardly any species I don't like. The only one that comes to mind are silverfish (yes, even most insects don't creep me out). Heck, I have had rats and snakes as pets (never at the same time though).
4. I hate having my feet 'trapped' under a blanket.
5. I love punk music and alternative clothing, yet I scrapbook and craft a lot...quite the paradox.
6. I play roller derby. (Currently on break because of school; boo)
7. I have two cats; one is named after a dog (Sirius Black) and the other named after a robot who is made from a gumball machine (Tom Servo).
8. Here's a shocker...I love most anything Disney-related.
9. I have written a novel. Need to edit; want to publish eventually.
10.Like my cats, my husband Chip has several silly names. I use them often.
11. I am trying to kick the soda habit.
12. I love shopping at Sephora and have more makeup than I can probably use in a year.
13. I can probably narrate most of the original Star Wars movies.
14. I stay up way too late sometimes. Need to break that habit too.
15. My goal is to travel a lot more this year. We shall see.
